One of the most significant changes in the construction industry is the increased use of technology. Digital technologies such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) and virtual reality (VR) are transforming the way construction projects are designed, planned, and executed. BIM allows architects and engineers to create 3D models of buildings, providing a more accurate representation of the final product and allowing for greater collaboration between different stakeholders. VR technology allows clients and contractors to visualize the finished product before construction begins, reducing the risk of errors and increasing efficiency.

The industry must maintain its focus on increased sustainability. With climate change a continued concern, companies must do more to mitigate the environmental impact of their projects. Sustainable building materials, energy-efficient designs, and renewable energy sources are becoming table stakes in the construction industry, and companies that fail to adapt to these changes risk falling behind.

So as the industry changes so too will the GVCA. Connecting our members in new ways, using technology to match members to business opportunities, the elimination of paper and move to digital where possible to be more sustainable and amplifying advances in technology and process that our members ought to know about or embrace will help them to achieve their objectives.
