Conestoga Waterloo Campus Redevelopment
The Conestoga Waterloo Campus Redevelopment consists of a major renovation to the Waterloo campus main building. The work focuses on the North side of the campus which was not included in the last campus redevelopment completed in 2017. The scope of work will include Wings A, B, D and E for a total area of 3950 SM. These wings were originally. Constructed in 1967 with the exception of the southwest corner of the D wing (also known as the HVAC wing) which was built in 2010. The existing building is built with steel framed construction, with primarily concrete block walls.
Demolition work includes the removal of the B-wing, removal of the majority of exterior walls on the D wing and removal of the majority of the roof over the area of work for re-roofing. The adjacent stand-alone diner building will also be removed along with two small storage sheds to accommodate new landscape work. Abatement of hazardous materials will be included in the demolition scope.
